MONTHLY RATE
Our monthly fee is $60. We operate on month-to-month memberships, and do not require a long-term contract.
After you've been training for awhile we ask that you join the US Judo Federation ($70/year), which provides you with liability insurance and access to great tournament and seminar opportunities.
INSTRUCTORS
Our club founder, Eric Lee-Mӓder (third degree black belt), began Judo training in the early 1990s, eventually becoming an assistant instructor at Portland Judo, the largest Judo club in the United States. He has trained at the Kodokan in Tokyo, competed in a World Masters Judo event, and cross-trained in Danzan Ryu and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Pat Crain (fourth degree black belt), has decades of Judo training, including operating the Clallam County YMCA program since 1989. He guides our competition program, preparing athletes for tournament performance.
Professor Steve Maxwell (6th degree black belt) is our jiu-jitsu instructor-in-residence. Steve was the first American certified to teach Gracie jiu-jitsu in the U.S., and is a multi-time Pan American jiu-jitsu champion. He is an internationally famous fitness coach, physical educator, and combatives instructor to various agencies including the DEA and the Secret Service. Steve teaches traditional Gracie jiu-jitsu self-defense several Saturdays each month.
We're further supported by a great cohort of advanced student members with years of Judo and jiu-jitsu experience.
